I had planned on taking the day off to get to the finish line early to get a good spot to take pictures. But I had to much work to do at the office to take any time. This will be the one time I’ll ever be glad I didn’t take the day off
These reports of a historic blizzard are false rumors. It’s not allowed to snow. I need to fly to Mardi Gras tomorrow night. So, no worries.
I was in NY last night, and am headed to Mardi Gras this weekend, so I will be unable to fulfill attending a Beanpot Tourney game. This is a travesty of travel planning on my part :(
I just found out that Biz Markie is participating in an Iron Chef-style showdown at 3 Scoops Ice Cream Parlor on Saturday night. Why was I not informed about this before it sold out???
No posts lately, so you probably think I abandoned this project, don’t you? Well, I haven’t. I have been traveling though this month, and I made a mistake with setting up a posting que, so things have just been sitting unpublished. I’ll start slowly releasing them beginning tonight, so as to not overwhelm your feeds.
Happy Holidays!
Lots to do this weekend, and I’m not sure how I’m going to fit it all in.
Today (Saturday) is:
-Boston Book Festival in Copley
-The BSO is playing music along with Looney Toon cartoons
-The Cambridge Brewing Company is having their Pumpkin Fest with 40 types of beer and pumpkin food
Sunday, Tazo Chocolate is having a Dia de los Muertos celebration with tacos, chocolate, and music.
Well, Head of the Charles, or course. I missed it last year, not going to miss it again.
Fort Point Open House to see what kind of art they cooked up. There’s a bunch of pool noodles floating in the water outside my office right now, so I’m hoping the rest of the artists did better than that….
Might try to get to the ICA as well. There’s two pretty cool exhibits wrapping up, and I’d hate to miss them.
Sorry for the lack of updates lately. It definitely hasn’t stemmed from a lack of me doing things. I’ve just been lazy with uploading and editing my photos. I’m getting caught up though!
Saturday is the Boston-New York Foodtruck Throwdown. Being from outside New York, but never having tried the newer generation of food trucks that have spuring up, my loyalty is divided. Do I root for my dear beloved New York, or for the food trucks I have actually been eating regularly? I’m torn between two worlds. It’s happening Saturday in Dewey Square near South Station.
Other than that- weather depending this weekend. Weather depending.
I have been a bit negligent in posting for the past week- mainly because I’ve been lazy in transferring photos from my camera to my PC. I have been busy though, with tons of festivals and whatnot going on around the city. Updates coming soon, promise.
So the internet tells me a Nutella truck is still roaming around Boston giving out free stuff. If you do a quick search of the Googles, you can probably find the schedule I saw (but can’t remember offhand)
This weekend is a bit up in the air since I have a friend coming in from out of town. This gives me a great excuse to check off some touristy things, but I’ll have to wait and see what she would like to see.
In the meantime, Norm MacDonald at the Wilbur tonight. I have a feeling that this show will actually be really funny, or really disappointing.
There’s a festival in South Boston tomorrow, Saturday September 15th. I’m a sucker for street festivals, so why not? I actually have spent very little time in South Boston, so this will give me an opportunity to explore around a bit, maybe knock off some more painted boxes and find more ‘odd art in Boston’.
Other than that, we’ll see where I end up…
I’ve been out of town for a few days doing Labor Day weekend-type stuff. However, it’s back to the daily grind now. I’ll have some various updates up soon as I get caught up.
